Huayra – the God of Wind

Shortly after its first appearance on the news, Pagani now presented its new Huayra Roadster to the public at the Geneva International Motor Show. Our mate Dirk Czerwonatis attended the motor show in Switzerland and brought back some impressions from the Pagani booth where the glamorous Italian Roadster was showcased. Limited to 100 vehicles, the starting price for this lightweight hypercar is at 2.3 M€. Although being displayed just now, all vehicles have already been sold by Pagani Automobili.

Powered by AMG’s famous biturbocharged twelve-cylinder engine the M158, which is exclusively being built by Mike Kübler, the Huayra Roadster reaches a peak output of 764 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. To maximize driving performance, the 6 liter V12 is paired with a brand-new gearbox seven-speed automatic manual transmission, which was originally developed for the Huayra BC. Lightweight construction and a carbon monocoque allow an outstandingly low weight of only 1280 kg, making it the first Roadster to be lighter than its Coupé variant. Furthermore, the Italian carmaker managed to increase driving performance with an active and automated aerodynamic system that enhances downforce by optimizing air flows via four flaps on located on the upside of the car.

Engine bay? More like engine bae!
